Well, I succeeded at kicking my own ass tonight. I did not suck at training. I was in the moment the whole time. It was great. I felt like a weightlifter.

I worked with Amy on snatches. I wanted to get some reps in, but my real goal tonight was cleans. Snatches are easy, cleans are not.

Snatch:
A bunch of reps between 37 kg and 55 kg. Repped out 55 kg at the end and then moved on to cleans.

Clean pull + clean:
Tons reps at 55 kg. Nick had me work on really laying back on the clean, which I do well on the pull.

At some point, I knew I was overthinking it and needed to just do. Act. No thinking. So, I cut out the pull and told myself to walk up to the bar and clean the fucking thing Ian Wilson style.

I went until I was too tired to make a rep. It was good. Things felt fast, and Nick said I looked fast.

Then, it was time to squat, so I did it WOD style. 5 x 10 squat using ascending weights with 10 pushups and 10 curls in between sets.

Squat 10 x 70 kg, Pushup x 10, Curl 10 x 30 lbs
Squat 10 x 75 kg, Pushup x 10, Curl 10 x 30 lbs
Squat 10 x 80 kg, Pushup x 10, Curl 10 x 30 lbs
Squat 10 x 85 kg, Pushup x 10, Curl 10 x 30 lbs
Squat 10 x 90 kg, Pushup x 10, Curl 10 x 30 lbs

I got your work capacity, motherfucker.

I was starving at the end. I had a small late lunch around 2:00 pm to break my fast, but it wasn’t much.

Double quarter pounder with cheese – 750 calories and 48g of protein. Win.
