On New Year’s Resolutions and Stupid E-Cards

In the past, I would have laughed at an e-card like the one below. In fact, I am certain that either I’ve posted it before or that one or more of my Facebook friends have tagged me in it.

I no longer find it funny.

I did become a better person in the last year, and I am proud of that.

It was the hardest year of my life. There were many days when I didn’t want to get out of bed. There were many days when I cried for more hours than not. And, then I dealt with my shit.

2013 is the year that I became a person whom I like.

For anyone who hasn’t accomplished that yet, I highly recommend working on it.

Remember, you can change your life at any moment. If you don’t believe that’s possible, then you’ll never do it.

  2. The thought I was controlling my destiny and becoming a “me” I liked hit me as well this year. Can’t wait for more. Great post!
